Location & Facilities
Mountain Springs Preparatory Academy is located at the base of
Cedar Mountain in Cedar City, Utah, about two and a half hours
north of Las Vegas, Nevada. Its scenic location makes it an ideal
starting point for an educational program that readily utilizes
the outdoors. Short drives away are Cedar Breaks National
Monument, Zion’s National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, and
just a bit farther—the Grand Canyon. Students become very familiar
with sites such as nearby Brian Head Ski Resort, where they ski
and snowboard almost weekly throughout the winter months.
The campus itself is 5.4 acres centered around two large,
home-style buildings. Girls and Boys dorms are separate and

Cedar City is also the home of a renowned, Tony-award winning
Shakespearean Festival May through October. This provides an
excellent opportunity for Mountain Springs students to not only
attend plays, but to study, learn, and be involved in producing
their own Shakespearean productions!
Furthermore, Cedar City is home to Southern Utah University which provides students an excellent opportunity to
get excited about college and earn both high school and college credit through the concurrent enrollment program.
